Back in 1969 with the spiritual guidance of Ben Ammi, numerous black americans found themselves in Israel forming the African Hebrew Israelites. As it turned out, some of these followers were amazing musicans, which led to the creation of the "Soul Messengers". The band became known while performing for Israeli troops during the Yom Kippur war and eventually started touring around the world. Last year a fantastic compilation - "Soul Messages From Dimona" came out, featuring the best and rarest of recordings from this era.
